staff team
If you come to visit us, the first person you meet might be from our staff team. Or you may be welcomed by a member of our church family.
Our church family reflects the cosmopolitan character of London. We mainly live within a few miles of St Luke's.
church staff
Alistair Tresidder (minister)
Alistair has been our vicar for over ten years. Prior to St Luke’s, he was a curate at St Anne’s, Limehouse and studied at Cranmer Hall in Durham. He is married to Sheena and they have five children, three chickens and other animals. Now in his 40s, he has started to wear cardigans.
Matt Perkins (pastoral assistant)
Matt is responsible for pastoring and leading our growing evening service, as well as organising the mid-week growth groups. Somehow he combines this with part-time study at Oakhill. Matt has also completed the Cornhill Training Course. He is married to Pippa and so lovingly endures all things pink.
Matt Cook (apprentice)
Matt is our full time apprentice. Matt studied engineering at Durham and then attended the Cornhill Training Course. He splits his time between running our pathfinders and mid-week children’s clubs and assisting Matt Perkins with the evening service. He thinks nothing of running a sub-3hr marathon before church.
Brendan Beaton (apprentice)
Brendan is in his final year of the Cornhill Training Course. When he’s not studying, he works with the students in our parish, primarily at Kings College, Hampstead. He runs “Dig Deeper”, our student bible study and lives in the basement flat of the vicarage with Matt Cook. Brendan is Canadian, but we still love him.
